Mateusz Kowalski (born 1986) is a Polish graphic designer and photographer. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Graphics. He graduated in 2011, with a diploma in the Book Design Studio led by prof. Maciej Buszewicz.
Since 2014, he has been associated with his alma mater. During 2014-2016 he was an assistant in the Book and Digital Publications Studio led by prof. Maciej Buszewicz. In 2016 he taught classes in website design. Then in 2017-2019, he was an assistant in the Graphic Design Studio, and from 2019 he continued this role in the Sign and Comprehensive Graphic Design Studio led by prof. Piotr Garlicki.
Designer of books, websites and visual identifications. He also works in photography, with an emphasis on black and white landscape photography. He has received awards and distinctions, including: 1st place in the competition for the logo for Sinfonia Varsovia (2011), distinction in the Project of the Year – Polish Graphic Competition (2013) for the visual identification of Tomasz Segiet, distinction in the Polish Graphic Design Awards (2018) for the joint project Pan Kalendarz, distinction in the International Photography Awards (2019) for the series of photographs entitled Displacement.
